DPM invites you to a two day training session that will equip the avid and aspiring mountaineer with the basics of climbing!

Basic Mountaineering Course (BMC) Module 1&2

Module includes:
*Back Packing
*Tent Handling
*Introduction to hiking/climbing equipments
*Trail signs
*First-aid
*Knot tying
*LNT Principles

with Waterfall Rappelling (Canyoning)

Suggested Itinerary:
DAY 1 (Saturday)
0500 – Assembly at Jollibee Alabang (South participants)
0600 – ETD Calamba Crossing
0630 - ETA Calamba Crossing (Jollibee), Ride jeep or bus going to Sta. Cruz, Laguna

0500 - Assembly at 711 LRT-Buendia (North participants)
0530 - ETD Sta Cruz, Laguna

0800 - ETA Sta. Cruz, Laguna (Regroup South & North participants). Rent jeep going to Luisiana Town proper
0900 – ETA Luisiana town proper. Buy food and supplies needed.
1000 - Head to Brgy San Buenaventura going to jumpoff. Last minute preparation.
1030 – Start Trek to Simbahang Bato
1200 - ETA Simbahang Bato, set camp, prepare lunch (pack lunch)
1300 – Start of BMC 1 lecture
1400 – BMC 2 (First aid & Ropemanship)/ Rappelling
1800 – Rest. Prepare dinner
1900 - Dinner
2100 – Socials, Games & Raffles
2400 – Lights out

DAY 2 (Sunday)
0500 – Wake up call. Prepare breakfast
0600 – Breakfast. Prepare pack lunch.
0700 – Break camp. Camp Clean-up. Head to Bumbungan Falls
0930 – ETA Bumbungan Falls
1000 – Start of rappelling activity
1200 – Rest. Lunch (Pack lunch)
1300 – Resume Rapelling
1500 – Break camp. Camp clean-up
1600 – Start descend
1700 – Jumpoff. Proceed to Brgy Hall for wash-up
1800 – ETD Luisiana town proper
1900 - ETA Luisiana
2000 – ETA Sta. Cruz, Laguna
2200 – ETA Manila


NOTE: Itinerary is subject for minor changes due to travel conditions and other logistics but will not affect the entire activity. Everybody is advised to work as a team to be more efficient.

ACTIVITY RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. The organizing committee reserves the right to cancel the participation of a person or a group at their discretion if they feel that it would be detrimental to fellow.

2. The following are not allowed during the 2 day activity: - firearms, explosives, military uniform and/or Paraphernalia’s and hazardous/prohibited drugs.

3. Participants are expected to participate in all the activities, lectures, trainings, and tasks set by the organizing committee, this is not your ordinary outing, though we intend it a fun filled activity, we wouldn’t want to sacrifice the objectives of this project.

4. Nobody can leave the campsite premises or make an ascent and/or descent without permission to the Camp master. Buddy system is strongly encouraged.

5. Nobody is allowed to go on swimming without asking permission to the Camp master.

6. We will be incorporating a “Backpacking” style of camping in our trip, since our campsite is in abundance of water, you may cook any food you want. We also suggest that you bring your camp chair for added comfort during the lecture time, might as well bring anything you could carry on your backpack that would make camp life easier and more comfortable for you, because you don’t have to worry about the weight, there won’t be any long trek this time. We will be focusing our trip to BMC and Rappelling only and of course we will have fun as we learn and get to know each other.


Pls bring the ff:

All your necessary Camping and Backpacking equipment

Helmet (bike helmet is acceptable)
Descending Device (if you have one)
Carabiners (if you have one)
Harness (if you have one)
GUTS

Mandatory Rappelling Equipment:
Hand Gloves
At least 1.5m utility cord (6mm Kern-Mantle Rope) for ropemanship

CHECKLIST:

Trekking Attire:
T-shirt with warmer or sweat shirt, short, leggings, mountain boots, sandals, bandana or cap, rain gear, sunglass and socks.
Extras: 1 trek attire, jogging pants, socks, towel and undergarments

Equipments and supply per individual (IMPORTANT):
Water source available at the campsite. Bring trail water and 2 Liters each for drinking, Flashlight each with reserved batteries, 1 mess kit (spoon, fork, plate and goblet), 1 toiletry (tissue, soap, toothpaste)

Group Equipments:
Tent, Cookset, Lantern and Stove

Each camper should bring at least 2 can goods,bread and butane gas

REMINDER: Follow the Itinerary and NO LATE PLEASE!

1. “Register to confirm" and "First reg.-first serve" policy.
2. Registration fee is non-refundable but transferable and effective on the set date/s only.
3. Date/s set are final.
