Mayon Volcano ( lat.13'15.4 long.123'41.1 ) in the province of Albay, Bicol Peninsula,Southeastern Luzon Island, is the most active among 22 active volcanoes in the Philippines. The steep symmetrical strato cone has a summit elevation of 2,462 m ASL and a base diameter ca 20 kms. Climb Overview :
Apparition Chapel to Camp Toril ( 673 m )
A gradual slope trail passing through private farm lands and lots of shades under Abaca plantations and shrubs, watch out poison ivy's are abound!
- A lot of space to choose from to pitch tents, rolling terrain.
Difficulty - Easy
Camp Toril to Ridge Camp #2 ( Elev. 1,315 m )
- The trail goes a ridge line with lush vegetation, there are open spots to admire the view of the islands and the ocean. The trail becomes steep on some parts but negotiable with ease.
-Difficulty - Moderate
Ridge Camp #2 to "George Steps" ( 2,200 m )
-- A long stretch of Lava Rocks formed int o a gully. Polished but not slippery even when wet.
-Flash floods may occur during heavy downpour.
- A rope system must be rigged at the steps due to possible loose rocks and scrambling on all fours while negotiating it. The walls are quite unstable but some parts can be bolted to accommodate hangers and set up the ropes, in order to ensure safe and easy ascent and descent from the crater.
Note: A rope system must be rigged to serve as hand line only at the steps and the upper walls towards the crater in order a proper flow of climbers is achieve specially a sudden thick cloud cover occurs when visual is affected during the climb. All climbers are advise to wear helmets of any kind when attempting the summit crater to avoid any head injury..

- Generally cloudy to occasional rain showers may occur during the day and evening. But who knows due to climate change, it might be sunny the whole time during the climb.

- Pioneer the first climb to new route and summit it twice!
2. Mt. Guiting Guiting Traverse - First to traverse it together with the Don Bosco Mountaineering Society of Mandaluyong. Via Magdiwang and down to San Fernando side
3. Mt. Cetaceo, Sierra Madre- First to summit together with the Sierra Madre Outdoor Club of Tuguegarao, Cagayan ( SMOC )
4. Mt. Malinao, Albay
5.Mt. Masaraga, Albay
6. Mt. Isarog, Cam. Sur
7. Bulusan Volcano - Traverse and the first to pioneer the trail from Brgy. San Roque in Bulusan, Sorsogon
8. Mt. Asog ( Mt. Iriga)- Traverse via Buhi, Cam. Sur and down to Iriga City side.

4:00 AM - Arrival of participants by bus from Manila
- Assembly at Legazpi City Grand Terminal
- Breakfast
- Prepare equipments, Be sure everythings ready what
to bring in summit. All backpacks will be left in camp 2.
5:00 AM - Board Jeepney bound to the jump-off point
6:00 AM – arrival at Apparition site chapel
- Courtesy call to Brgy Offiicials
6:15 AM – leave chapel to Toril Camp
7:30 AM – arrival Toril Camp (or Camp 1)
8:30 AM –ETA Camp 2
- Leave all the backpacks just bring valuable things, digicam flashlights, helmet, water, and pack lunch.
12:00 AM –ETA Summit
- Photo Ops.
- Quick Lunch
1:00 PM - Leave Summit
-Descend
4:00 PM – arrival Camp 2
- Pitch tents
- Prepare Dinner
