Thank you to Leo from Filipino Pilgrim (filipinopilgrim.multiply.com) for passing on the information about this annual walk held by Haribon Foundation to raise funds and awareness for their goal to rehabilitate 1 million hectares of forest by 2020.
Barefootprint would like to put in a team - even better if it's a team of NatureKeeping and NatureLoving children. They have two circuits around Ninoy Aquino Park, Quezon City - one is 1.5km another is just 300m - so if kids would like to join, we can do the smaller one to earn greater sponsorship.
The mechanism is that you gain sponsorship per lap you walk - so the more laps, the bigger donation you give to Haribon to fulfill their goal to replant a million hectares by 2020.
