Freedom Climb Photo Exhibit
Philippine National Mountaineering Society (PNMS) will be organizing the Freedom Climb Photo Exhibit entitled “MGA LARAWAN NG KALIKASAN SA ARAW NG ATING KALAYAAN”. The event will be held at the Recreational Outdoor Exchange (R.O.X.), High Street, Fort Bonifacio Global City , Taguig on October 2 - 4, 2009. The event is dedicated to the historic event that lead to the success of the ``The 1st Annual Freedom Climb`` that brought over 2,400 mountaineers together in unity. The participants successfully raised the Philippine Flag in more than 50 climbing destinations in the Philippines including 1 summit in Malaysia and China . This is truly a proud moment for mountaineers.
In this regard, we would like to formally invite you and your group to participate and attend the Freedom Climb Photo Exhibit on the said date. If you wish to send an entry coming from your group you may coordinate with the contact persons below.
GENERAL MECHANICS
Theme: “MGA LARAWAN NG KALIKASAN SA ARAW NG ATING KALAYAAN”
1st Annual Freedom Climb Photo Exhibit
· Should encompass the essence of the activity.
· Over-all concept should be original and never been used in any other competition nor any ad campaign prior to the contest
· Obscene, provocative, derogatory or any other objectionable implications will not be allowed nor considered.
· Entries may be candid photos or posed
· Entries can either be cropped or enhanced, monochromatic or artistically manipulated.
· Entries must be photos taken from actual events during the Freedom Climb held last 11-14th June 2009. Shots taken from other events and places are disqualified.
· All entries must be submitted on or before the designated deadline.
· A photograph that has been published or sold commercially (whether directly or via an agency intermediary) is not eligible.
· All submitted entries shall become sole and exclusive property of PNMS and maybe reproduced and/or reprinted into any size for exhibition without seeking permission from the owner nor paying compensation for the acquisition of said photos. Due acknowledgment will be given every time a photograph is used.
· A contestant cannot have two winning entries (one per category). In the event that both winning entries were submitted by the same contestant, he will be granted with the prize that has the higher value.
· The decision of the Board of Judges of the photo exhibit is FINAL. Should there be any complaints or protest, it must be in written form to be entertained.
· Deadline of submission for both category is on 27th September 2009
· Only 8R (8x10) inches prints will be allowed in the exhibit.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
· Entries must be in 8R or 8x10 inches print formats & must be place inside an envelope with following indications:
- Name of member
- Affiliation
- Contact details
- Title of entry/ies
· Php 150.00 / entry (1 free per group)

(50% weight on votes, 50% weight on judges' choice).
