Community Development & Scholarship Program with option to Camp overnight to enjoy the Waterfalls, river trekking and swiming, do horse backriding, bird watching, flowers & butterfly watching, fruit picking on second day. Facilitated by Miriam P.E.A.C.E. (Public Education & Awareness Campaign for the Environment) Environmental Studies Institute of Miriam College

OBJECTIVE: To share to the participants the beauty of Nature and the blessed feeling of caring for the Environment.

ITINERARY
Saturday
5:00 AM Assembly at Farmer’s Cubao & depart after 15min. Settling down, Briefing on the Project by ESI Miriam PEACE / Snack / Trek to Tree Planting site / Tree Planting / Trek back to Barangay Laiban / River trekking / Swimming / Fruit Picking (what ever is in season, just pay the owner)
4:00 PM Daytrip participants depart for Manila

Since this is a volunteer activity, the volunteers will happily support the cost of reforestation activities, scholarship, community development, media coverage, construction of facilities and information center, web operations, maintenance of seedlings before and after planting, local trek guides, tour coordinator, volunteers meals which is prepared by the local community, horse rental, jeep fares.

Individual COST
P 250/pax for the seedlings (minimum of 30seed/ group or company)

Group Cost
P 4,000/group for the hard core jeep going down Laiban max of 20pax
P 300/guide for 10 to 15pax

Optional Cost
P 100/horse (if it is available)
P 150/pax for lunch and PM snack
P 200/pax RT Motorbike Crazy Adventure (for group min of 8pax booking n max of 10 pax)

Not Included is the fare to and from Mayagay, if your going to bring your own car to Laiban, be sure it is 4WHardCore Drive.

Things to bring:
- reasonable fitness- umbrella (for the 20-minute boat ride - protection against the sun or rain) - garden gloves (optional - just to keep hands clean but there will be no digging. Holes for the seedlings will be dug prior to the activity by the caretakers)- at least 1 liter drinking water- packed lunch- swim clothes (optional - there is a stream where the volunteers can take a dip after the tree planting)- sun block lotion- insect repellent- work clothes (anything not dark beacuse dark clothes absorb more heat from the sun, denim pants is ok for the half-day activity, rubber shoes with good traction is recommended, expect the trail to be muddy)- camera- sack or large plastic bags to carry the seedlings- extra clothes
