Backpack: Internal vs External Frame

I have been climbing for years, I also convinced my friends to go to the wild with me.. but after reading an article about backpacks, I have realized I don't have the guts to boast for I didn't know the basic of every gear. Ashamed of myself - yes, I am.. but the good thing is it's not too late to realize my shortcomings.

I know some of you are curious what is the difference between internal frame and external frame backpacks. I was shocked because I have seen the other backpack in a Japan Surplus Shop but I thought that item was a joke and was only used in Japan.

The backpack on the left (black) was the external frame, and internal frame on the right (blue). Frames are the aluminum tubes at the back of the bag.

There are reviews that compares the durability and usage of this packs. Most of them said Internal Frame Pack works well.

Here in the Philippines, the commonly used type of packs are the Internal Frames. I have seen, as I said a while ago, an External Frame but haven't seen someone using it along the trail.

New Start for Lanchiel

Yes! We survived the first week of school. Lanchiel enjoyed her first few days at school.

It's a fresh new start for us as I am now a full pledged househusband to look after our child. We more excited for new challenges as we enjoy the benefits of studying on a public school.

Thanks to her teacher, she is excited to attend class.

Will I be a stage Dad? Hmmm, let's see.

Re-acquiring Knowledge and Skills

Moving forward...

I need to relearn the skills and knowledge ACLCGuadalupe taught me. Those activities our late instructor have given might be a key for a new project.
